Village Hall

The Hall is an attractive listed building dating back to 1863, originally a chapel than a school The Newton & Noss Village Hall since 1960. In recent years it has been modernised and a major refurbishment has just finished with modern toilets and one for the disabled and a modern kitchen with catering oven, a double sink and hot cupboard. There is an excellent stage for theatrical productions, a balcony that is suitable for small meetings of up to 12 people. The Hall is licensed for public performances capacity 140 only 120 people sitting.

There is a separate area the Revelstoke room where the St Frances Play School is situated and is open every weekday during Term time. For further information contact 873303.

The Hall is back in action with improved heating and lighting, new toilets, a modern kitchen and has had its first event.

We are having a Re-opening day, Saturday December 16th from 10’oclock until 5.00. There will be local entertainers including the Ukulele players.

Entrance is free. Refreshments, Coffee and Mince pies, Lunches and Cream Teas at a modest price. A Grand Raffle including a Digital Camera. Everyone is welcome just turn up on the day.

We have had an excellent response to our request to buy bonds, but we would like to buy a commercial dishwasher and fit permanent fixtures for theatre lighting.
